Dreams, desires and destiny
We all have dreams and desires and all of us deserves a great life and destiny. This is our Life’s Quest.
We all wish deep down in our hearts that everyone is blessed with some kind of special gift:
- that we can touch others lives in some way or the other,
- that we can make something different in someone’s life, and
- that we can make the world around us a better place.
There is a time in our lives, we all had a clear vision of our life, our life’s quest. We all envisioned our life clearly before us that we desire and deserve for ourselves.
Yet, for many of us, those desires and dreams gradually fade away and become a thing of the past in the frustrations and routines of daily life.
We forgot to even remember and make an effort to accomplish these dreams.
For many of us, these dreams appear to be far and unreachable and started dissipating and so has the will to shape our destinies.
Fighting with frustrations and unfulfilled expectations many have lost that sense of certainty that creates the winner’s edge.
Our life’s quest has been to find ways and means to restore those dreams and to make them happen, but most time we lost to our weakness one way or the other.
But, deep down we know it’s the way of life to make you learn what is to be learned to get to the next level.
Life is the best teacher and teaches you the hard way if you didn’t learn fast and put learning into action. The more you delay improving, the more complicated it is going to be.
What I learnt from life is that for changes to be of any true value, they have got to be lasting and consistent.
Many people attempt to change with a sense of fear and dread because unconsciously they believe the changes will only be temporary.
We have all experienced change for a moment, only to feel let down and disappointed in the end.
It’s not that it only happens with me or you, rather be assured we all passed through such a phase in life.
So be brave and not pity yourself…as self-pity is wallowing in. It’s an appalling waste of energy.
Raising of standards
When you sincerely wish to create a change, the first thing you must do is raise your standards.
If you ask the accomplished people about what really their life’s quest was perhaps the most important fact that comes up was –
“changing what they demanded of themselves”
To achieve this you must note down all the things you would no longer wish to tolerate, things you no longer accept in your life and all those things that you ever aspired to become.
Imagine the far-reaching consequences set in motion by men and women who raised their standards and acted in accordance with them, deciding they would tolerate no less.
In the chronicles of history, there are life’s awakening and inspiring examples of people like Swami Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, and many others who took the monumental powerful step of raising their standards.
Changing limiting beliefs is important
If you raise your standards but don’t really believe in them you already obstruct yourself. You won’t even be going to try;
You will be lacking that sense of urgency that throttles you to tap the deepest capacity that’s lies sleeping within you.
Our beliefs are like unquestionable commands telling us what’s possible and what’s impossible, what we are capable of or what we cannot do.
They shape each of our actions, each and every thought, and every emotion that we experience.
As a result, changing our belief system is central to making any real and lasting change in our lives.
And when you make a habit of seeing what you believe, that is where your LIFE’s Quest ends.
